RiverBeat Music Festival, Memphis' newest concert event, is less than a month away — so, it's a perfect time to take a closer look at the performers for this inaugural three-day music fest.

The daily schedule for the RiverBeat Music Festival was announced in early March. The schedule shows artists Odesza, Fugees and Jelly Roll as the top billed performers. For those who aren't familiar with these artists — or others on the lineup — we're breaking down some of RiverBeat's top performers and their most popular songs.

Here is a look at some of the acts performing at the new music festival which is set for Friday-Sunday, May 3-5, at Tom Lee Park in Downtown Memphis.

Who is performing at RiverBeat Music Festival on Friday?

The concert weekend opens on Friday, May 3. The main performers for opening night include Odesza, Mt. Joy, Yung Gravy, Matt and Kim, and Jai Wolf.

Odesza is a dance/electronic duo consisting of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, known individually as Catacombkid and BeachesBeaches. The duo formed in 2012 in Bellingham, Washington, and has been performing and making music since. Their top streamed songs are "Sun Models," "Say My Name" and "A Moment Apart." They have been nominated for four Grammy Awards.

Mt. Joy is an indie band from Philadelphia that debuted in 2016. The group has five members: Matt Quinn, Sam Cooper, Sotiris Eliopoulos, Jackie Miclau and Michael Byrnes. Their top performing songs are "Silver Lining," "Lemon Tree" and "Jenny Jenkins."

Yung Gravy is a rapper, singer-songwriter and actor from Rochester, Minnesota. He first started in 2016 with the self-released single, "Mr. Clean." His top performing songs are "Betty (Get Money)," "C'est La Vie" and "oops!"

Who is performing at RiverBeat Music Festival on Saturday?

The second day of the concert weekend brings a mix of sounds including R&B, hip-hop and indie. The main performers on Saturday, May 4, include the Fugees, Tobe Nwigwe, The Band Camino, Killer Mike and the Robert Randolph Band.

The Fugees are a hip-hop trio from South Orange, New Jersey, consisting of Wyclef Jean, Pras Michel and Lauryn Hill. The group, formed in 1990, has released two studio albums. Its top performing songs are "Fu-Gee-La," "Nappy Heads" and "Killing Me Softly."

Tobe Nwigwe is a Grammy-nominated rapper from Houston, Texas. He first started performing music in 2016. Nwigwe became well known for releasing a song and video every Sunday. Some of his top performing songs include "On My Soul," "BRAVO" and "LORD FORGIVE ME."

The Band Camino, which started performing in 2015, is originally from Memphis. The group consists of members Jeffery Jordan, Spencer Stewart and Garrison Burgess. Their top performing songs include "I Think I Like You," "2/14" and "See Through."

The festival will close out Sunday, May 5, with sets from main performers Jelly Roll, Black Pumas, Big Boi, Jessie Murph and Morgan Wade.

Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, is a country singer, rapper and songwriter from Antioch, Tennessee. In 2024, he was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance (with Lainey Wilson) at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. His top performing songs include "Need a Favor," "Save Me" and "Son of a Sinner."

Black Pumas is an R&B soul group from Austin, Texas. The group, formed in 2017, consists of members Eric Burton and Adrian Quesada. In 2020, the group was nominated for Best New Artist at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Their top songs include "Colors," "More Than a Love Song" and "Black Moon Rising."

Big Boi is a rapper, singer, record producer and actor from Atlanta. He is best known for being part of Outkast along with André 3000. His top performing songs include "All Night," "Kill Jill" and "Palm Reader."
