Who's going to the 7th annual Pecan Festival at RBC? Shop, eat, dance, harvest pecans

PRINCE GEORGE — The 7th annual Pecan Festival takes place this weekend at Richard Bland College of William & Mary. The fun-filled day draws people of all ages.

Over 100 vendors will be on the grounds with a wide variety of food, craft, beverage and product vendors from throughout the region. Hungry, thirsty shoppers will be able to choose from an assortment of food trucks, beer and wine vendors.

The Joker Band will play a mix of 70s, 80s, 90s, rock, country, R&B and soul music from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., and the Michael Hazelwood Freight Train Five genuine country band will take the stage next. There will also be activities for children.

Attendees may harvest pecans from RBC's pecan grove, one of Virginia's largest and oldest. RBC has nearly 1,000 pecan trees on its grounds.

Richard Bland College is located at 11301 Johnson Road in Prince George. The event takes place Saturday, October 21 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. There is ample free parking for visitors.
