The View held a congressional summit of their own to harshly criticize Kevin McCarthy after the Republican politician was ousted as Speaker of the House on Tuesday.

Following McCarthy's historical removal from his position after a House vote, the cohosts slammed Republicans for perpetuating disarray.

"If you hadn't made all those concessions at the beginning of the year, possibly you would still be the Speaker. You gave up everything, you said yes to everything, you gave those eight people all the power they needed to put your behind out of there," moderator Whoopi Goldberg said at the top of the show, referencing the eight Republicans who sided with Democrats in voting out McCarthy. "You did this. The Democrats didn't do this to you. It's not our job to keep you in. You did this to yourself. Stop blaming the Democrats. You did this to yourself."

Sunny Hostin equated McCarthy's behavior as Speaker to making "deals with the devils" with regard to McCarthy's prior dealings with Rep. Matt Gaetz, the right-wing Florida politician who initiated the motion to vote seemingly in response to what he saw as McCarthy walking back terms that led to Gaetz supporting his election to the role of Speaker earlier this year.

"As you said, he made a deal with the devil and, what do we know? The devil always comes to collect," added Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Donald Trump White House associate. "He did more than anyone to normalize bringing Trump back in the fold after Jan. 6 when he went down, cup in hand, to Mar-a-Lago. He released the Jan. 6 footage to Tucker Carlson, which led to rampant conspiracy theories. This was before [he was] Speaker, but he ousted his friend Liz Cheney from leadership, and then ultimately brought people like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz into the fold, and Gaetz ends up leading to his demise."

Joy Behar said she is elated to see infighting among the conservatives in power. "I'm enjoying this, I have to say. To watch Republicans fight with each other and watch that clown car explode has been fabulous. It's like watching the Oscars or the Super Bowl for me."

She finished by calling McCarthy "a loser from the beginning" and predicting further trouble for Republicans in the aftermath of his exit.

"Jim Jordan, who will get in there, will be even worse," Behar said. "They'll fight even more. Good. Let them fight. The American people are watching this, and they're thinking one side is in disarray, complete combustion, and the other side is making the country run."
