Whoopi Goldberg Fires Back at 'Snowflake' Donald Trump After He Insulted Her on Truth Social

'The View' co-host criticized the former president's post, in which he shared a fake quote from Goldberg saying she's moving to Canada and added that nobody would want to take her

Whoopi Goldberg is taking aim at former President Donald Trump, after he implied that she was widely disliked in a social media post over the weekend.

During Monday, May 13's episode of The View, co-host Goldberg responded to a post Trump shared on his Truth Social platform that featured an image of her, in which she had been edited to look bigger, with a caption reading: "I'm moving to Canada for sure this time!"

"You know what I’m a little agitated about," Goldberg, 68, began, addressing Trump's post. "That man has something to say to me. He saw a meme, you know who saw a meme that I was leaving the country."

"People always see these crazy memes that I’m going to leave the country if he gets in there," she continued. "Somebody else thought I was leaving, was sending suggestions for people to take my place."

The photo of Goldberg has been circulated around the internet for years, per Newsweek. Trump shared the meme on Sunday night after a follower sent it to him, adding his own caption: "Canada doesn't want you Whoopi, NOBODY DOES!!!"

"Look — I’m not going anywhere," Goldberg responded on Monday, to cheers from The View's audience. "And it’s not for the reason, you little snowflake — it’s not for the reason you think. He said nobody wanted me. Honey... you know what, it wouldn’t matter if no one here wanted me. But I know where I’m going to be cause I got a contract. So I’m going to be where I’m wanted for the next couple of years."

Goldberg has repeatedly criticized the former president since he entered politics, and several years back — while expressing anger with harmful rhetoric sweeping the nation — she said, "Maybe it's time for me to move."

She later clarified that she was not being serious about moving outside the United States.

"I'm not leaving the country that I was born and raised in," she emphasized in 2016. "You don't get to tell me that I'm going. You don't get to make that decision for me. I'm staying."
