‘White Men Can’t Jump’ Stars Shine At Hollywood Red Carpet Premiere

Thursday night (May 11), the stars of the upcoming film White Men Can’t Jump hit the red carpet at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theater for the premiere of the ’90s classic’s reboot. Directed by Calmatic, the movie stars Jack Harlow in his feature film debut, Sinqua Walls, Teyana Taylor, Vince Staples, Lance Redding, Myles Bullock, and more. Set to premiere on Hulu on May 19, White Men Can’t Jump is written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall.

Aside from the cast, other celebrities like Lil Nas X, Ty Dolla $ign, Hit-Boy, Lil Rel, and more walked the red carpet. Check out photos from the star-studded event below.

White Men Can’t Jump is executive produced by Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, Noah Weinstein, Calmatic, Doug Hall, E. Brian Dobbins and James Powers. The film was first announced in 2017 when Griffin joined Kalil and Barris on the idea. The film “celebrates the streetball hustling culture of Los Angeles.”

Walls stars as Kamal, once a promising player who derailed his future in the sport due to personal struggles. Harlow leads as Jeremy, a former college basketball star whose injuries stalled his own career. The film finds both characters juggling their relationships, financial pressures, and serious internal conflicts. The two ballers, learning that they may have more in common than initially believed.

The original White Men Can’t Jump was released in 1992, co-starring Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson as a pair of hustling street ballers.
