White Lotus Season 3: Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb Among 6 Joining Thailand-Set Installment

One month before The White Lotus‘ anticipated third season begins filming, TVLine has learned that six actors — including TV vets Jason Isaacs (Star Trek: Discovery, Awake), Michelle Monaghan (The Path), Parker Posey (Lost in Space) and Leslie Bibb (Popular) — have closed deals to star in the latest installment of HBO’s Emmy-winning series.

Also joining (previously announced) returning cast member Natasha Rothwell in Season 3: Relative newcomers Dom Hetrakul and Tayme Thapthimthong (pictured below alongside Bibb).

HBO is keeping character details for Isaacs, Monaghan, Posey, Bibb, Hetrakul and Thapthimthong under wraps.

HBO, meanwhile, is for the first time officially confirming Thailand as the locale for Season 3, with production set to commence in February in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.

“We are pleased to partner with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to execute Mike’s creative vision and showcase all that the beautiful country of Thailand has to offer, as the next group of guests check in to the White Lotus,” HBO’s EVP of production Janet Graham said in a statement Friday.

Added Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand: “We are honored to have Amazing Thailand featured as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season of The White Lotus. The kingdom’s exotic natural beauty, rich historical sites and diverse landscapes are the perfect settings to share our fascinating culture, fantastic cuisine, top-notch wellness and luxury offerings, and most importantly our people and Thai hospitality. Thailand has long been considered one of the world’s favorite filming locations. The White Lotus project will certainly strengthen the kingdom’s status as a preferred filming destination and a beacon of experience-based tourism, inspiring even more visitors to Amazing Thailand.”

As we reported last year, one Season 3 scenario that series creator Mike White was allegedly toying with had Season 1 star Connie Britton’s Nicole resurfacing alongside Laura Dern’s Abby, the estranged wife of Season 2 guest Dom (Michael Imperioli). Rumor had it that viewers would’ve learn that Nicole and Abby (whom Dern supplied the voice of in Season 2) were, in fact, sisters. Scheduling conflicts, however, killed the storyline.

The White Lotus Season 3 is slated to make its debut on HBO in 2025.
