‘Whiskey Cavalier’ Casts Dylan Walsh; Ken Kirby Books ‘Grand Hotel’
Unforgettable alum Dylan Walsh is set for a recurring role opposite Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan on ABC’s dramedy Whiskey Cavalier, from Bill Lawrence, Dave Hemingson and Warner Bros. TV. Written by Hemingson, Whiskey Cavalier, from WBTV and Lawrence’s studio-based Doozer Prods., follows the adventures of FBI agent Will Chase (codename: Whiskey Cavalier) — played by Foley — who, following an emotional break-up, is assigned to work with quick, cunning and completely fearless CIA operative Francesca “Frankie” Trowbridge (codename: Fiery Tribune) — played by Cohan. Together, they lead an interagency team of spies who periodically save the world (and each other) while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics. Walsh will play Alex Ollerman, Will Chase’s boss at the FBI who has a secret agenda and a shocking endgame. Walsh just wrapped two episodes of Law & Order: SVU and his other previous credits include Nip/Tuck for FX, Unforgettable for CBS and CW’s Life Sentence. He’s repped by Gersh and manager Bob McGowan. Whiskey Cavalier premieres Wednesday, Feb.27 at 10 PM on ABC.
Ken Kirby (The Gifted) has booked a recurring role on ABC’s Grand Hotel, executive produced by Eva Longoria. Written by Brian Tanen based on a Spanish format, Grand Hotel is a soapy drama set against the backdrop of a Miami Beach hotel, centering on the family who owns the business, the staff who run it and the explosive secrets they hide under the perfect exterior. Kirby will play Byron, a savvy business tycoon with investments across the globe. He and his family have been looking for a stake in the Miami real-estate business. Kirby most recently recurred on Fox’s The Gifted, and he’ll next be seen in the new Fosters spinoff, Good Trouble for Freeform. He is with Gersh and McKeon/Myones Entertainment. Grand Hotel premieres Monday, June 17th at 10 PM on ABC.
