The holiday parade and event season is here and towns are bringing back these time-honored traditions in Bucks and Montgomery counties.

Parades and tree lighting events start Nov. 18 with the Bristol Township Parade and go straight through early December.

Bristol Township Holiday Parade

Saturday, Nov. 18, noon 

The Bristol Township Holiday Parade is back featuring the Truman High School Marching Band and Cheerleaders, Eagles Pep Band, Mummers All Stars, Bristol Township Baton Twirlers, Bristol Township Council, local sports organizations, local businesses, church organizations, nonprofits, dance studios, car clubs, police and fire, Santa and more, organizers said.

The parade will begin at Brookwood School, traveling down Haines Road and turning on Millcreek Road to Millcreek Elementary! Grab your chairs and bags for candy collection and join the route.

The township tree lighting is set for Saturday, Dec. 2 from 6 p.m.at the Municipal Park Amphitheater, 2501 Bath Road.

Hatboro Holiday Parade

Sunday, Nov. 19, 2 to 4 p.m. 

Hatboro will start the local holiday season with its parade along York Road. The event starts at Summit Avenue and the parade marches south to Newington Drive. York Road will be closed between County Line Road and S. Warminster Road, starting at 12:30 p.m. This year's theme is "Sporting the Spirit." Come to the parade supporting your favorite team's gear.

Tree lighting set for Friday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. at the Union Library of Hatboro.

Doylestown Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Parade

Friday, Nov. 24, 5 p.m.

Doylestown Winterfest kicks off with the 109th tree lighting at State and Main streets in the borough. Musical performances start at 5 p.m. and Santa arrives by firetruck at 6:40 p.m.

Bristol Borough Christmas Parade

Saturday, Nov. 25, 1 p.m. (Rain date Sunday, Nov. 26, 1 p.m.)

The route starts at Simon and Schuster on Farragut Ave (right near McKinley Street). Goes all the way down Farragut/Pond Street, makes a left onto Mill Street and ends at Mill and Radcliffe.

Dublin Holiday Gathering & Tree Lighting

Friday, Dec. 1 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

The Dublin Town Center presents Santa, Frosty and Mrs. Claus at 123 North Main St. There will be horse and carriage rides and a gingebread house competition. The tree lighting ceremony is at about 5:45 p.m. after Sata's arrival at 5:30 p.m. Word is that there is "magical snowfall" in the forecast and food and drink available. The Living Hope Community Church is presenting a live nativity scene and Bucks County Arts and Dance will perform.

Quakertown Christmas Tree Lighting Festival

Friday, Dec. 1, 5:30 - 8 p.m. 

Join Santa and Mrs. Claus for Quakertown Borough's annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 7 p.m. There will be hot chocolate, cookies and more from a variety of vendors. The tree is located in the triangle parking lot on Broad Street. The event presented by Quakertown Alive! features strolling carolers, unique vendors, train rides, live performances, alpacas, a live nativity and carriage rides.

Langhorne Dickens Night

Friday, Dec. 1, 6-9 p.m. 

The Langhorne Borough Business Association hosts Dickens Night with a tree lighting, carolers, bonfire, vendors and more in the Langhorne Park at Maple and South Bellevue avenues. Santa lights the tree at 7:30 p.m. Bring a non-perishable food item for the food drive.

Yardley Christmas Parade

Saturday, Dec. 2, 3:30 p.m. 

The parade travels South Main Street and West Afton Avenue, starting at the American legion and ending at the Buttonwood Park. At the end of the parade Santa will light the tree and have a meet-and-greet for the kids.

Morrisville WinterFest

Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.; Rain Date Dec. 3 at 1 p.m

Parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at West Post Road to South Pennsylvania Avenue to Delaware Avenue, Washington Street, East Bridge Street, North Pennsylvania Avenue, West Palmer Street and ends at the high school.

Perkasie Christmas Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m

Perkasie's 115th annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Dec. 2 at the Perkasie Town Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Clause will arrive at 7 p.m. on a Perkasie Electric Truck to light the Christmas tree with one lucky child.

Enjoy food and holiday music. Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for Pennridge FISH. A donation will enter you into the drawing which will take place at 6:30 p.m. For more details, visit the perkasieborough.org.

Falls Township Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 2, 5-7 p.m.

Falls will celebrate the holidays at the senior center on Trenton Road in Fairless Hills with a snow zone, visit from Santa, photos, crafts and more.

Souderton Holiday Parade

Saturday, Dec. 2, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The Souderton Holiday Parade starts at the on the hill of the South Side of Main Street, continuing through "The Hollow", and then traveling east on Broad Street to School Lane, organizers said

The parade features local schools, community and faith organizations, businesses, emergency service volunteers and community members with a Santa appearance via fire truck.

The tree lighting will be Friday, Dec. 1 from 6:15 - 8 p.m. in the Univest courtyard at the intersection of Broad Street and Washington Avenue.

Newtown Holiday Parade

Sunday, Dec. 3, 2 p.m. 

Hosted each year by the Newtown Business Association, the parade, kicks off at 2 p.m. from South State Street at the Stocking Works.  It then continues north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street.  The Parade eventually ends at the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road. Free, rain or shine event.

Newtown Christmas Tree Lighting

Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Hundreds of community members will gather for the annual Newtown Borough Christmas tree lighting at about 7 p.m. The tree will be in the Newtown Fire Association’s parking lot at the corner of Washington Avenue and Liberty Street.

Sponsored by the Newtown Experience, festivities will include performances by the Goodnoe Elementary School Choir, the Council Rock North Choir and BC Discoveries Dance & Theater Arts Company, a DJ, hot chocolate donated by Starbucks, and cookies donated by the Hardware House.

The tree will be lit by Santa after he arrives in style on an antique firetruck. Assisting Santa will be outgoing Newtown Borough Council President Tara Grunde-McLaughlin and local resident Peter Brill.

Bensalem Santa & Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 9 at 5 p.m.

Join the township for a tree lighting and Santa's Drive-Through Visit. Bring a non-perishable food item to spread holiday cheer.
