Prepare to go back into the Hunger Games.

Based on Suzanne Collins’ dystopian novels of the same name, the first film was released in 2012 and was a box office success with three additional sequels.

The franchise follows a resident of Panem's District 12 named Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who is sent to be a "tribute" alongside children from the other 11 regions to compete to the death in the 74th annual Hunger Games; the lone survivor wins food for their district. She rebels — and ends up starting a revolution in the process.

Eight years after the final film in the series hit theaters, fans went back to the early beginnings of Panem with the adaptation of Collins’ prequel book, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which was released in November 2023.

The film follows a young Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) — who would later become the cruel president of Panem — during the 10th Hunger Games. as he serves as a mentor to a District 12 tribute named Lucy Gray (Rachel Zegler).
