How many versions of the Grinch movies are there?

There are three movie versions of the Grinch.

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” is the animated 1966 version directed by Chuck Jones. It's based on the 1957 children's book by Dr. Seuss and voiced by Boris Karloff as the Grinch and June Foray as Cindy Lou Who.

It's about the Grinch, a green creature with a heart "two sizes too small" who lives in a cave on Mount Crumpit and hates Christmas. On Christmas Eve, he disguises himself as Santa Claus and, with his dog Max, attempts to stop Christmas Day from coming by stealing presents, decorations and food, but this doesn't deter the spirit of the residents of Whoville.

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” was released in 2000 as a live-action adaptation of the book. Jim Carrey plays the Grinch and Taylor Momsen plays Cindy Lou Who, who tries unsuccessfully to integrate him into the Whoville festivities. The Grinch steals all of the Christmas trappings, but Cindy Lou Who makes the town realize they don't need all of that to celebrate. This helps the Grinch learn the true meaning of Christmas.

"The Grinch" is the 2018 animated movie voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch and Cameron Seely. Cindy Lou Who encounters the Grinch, who advises her to go to the North Pole to talk to Santa about helping her mother. She instead decides to trap Santa and accidentally captures the Grinch, who is attempting to steal decorations and presents from the people of Whoville. The Whos celebrate Christmas anyway and the Grinch realizes he was wrong.
