The new series takes place immediately after Hawkeye (also streaming on Disney+) and follows Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), a deaf superhuman who leaves New York City to return to her hometown in Oklahoma after kingpin Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) puts a bounty on her. Once home again, Echo reconnects to her Native American roots to become stronger.

Echo also stars Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Zahn McClarnon, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene and Charlie Cox (no relation) as Daredevil.
