While many of 2024's most anticipated horror titles are yet to come—think A Quiet Place: Day One, Longlegs, Trap, and MaXXXine—there are also plenty of must-see titles that either already wrapped their theatrical runs, or were released straight to streaming. Plan your next horror movie night at home starting with one of these spooky new releases.

Late Night With the Devil

A 1970s talk-show host (David Dastmalchian) plans an ill-advised Halloween special that exposes some dark occult secrets in this meticulously retro, genuinely eerie mockumentary. Stream on Shudder.

Abigail

Radio Silence’s foray into the world of Universal Monsters is a cautionary tale for any would-be crooks looking to make a grand payday off a kidnapping job: the target might look like a harmless little kid, but she could be a bloodthirsty ballerina vampire in disguise. Rent or buy on Prime Video.

Destroy All Neighbors

This super-fun, super-gross splatter comedy follows a sound engineer who musters all his courage to confront the obnoxious dude who’s just moved in next door—and everything goes wildly, hilariously wrong from there. Bonus points for also being a movie that conveys a deep, unironic love of prog rock. Stream on Shudder.

The First Omen

We didn’t really need a prequel to horror classic The Omen, but if one must exist, this is the best-case scenario: io9's review called it a “solid, scary, and gross” accomplishment that more than justifies its existence. It arrives on digital very soon: Tuesday, May 28; if you can hold out a few more days, it hits Hulu May 30.

Immaculate

The other freaky pregnant nun movie of spring 2024 stars Sydney Sweeney as an American novice who soon comes to regret relocating to a small convent in Italy where some very dark secrets are lurking. Rent or buy on Prime Video.

Stopmotion

The daughter of a famous animator—whose own artistic endeavors have long been overshadowed—struggles to complete her film and is horrified to discover the lines between story and reality are starting to blur, setting the perfect canvas for Stopmotion’s creative blend of live-action and stop-motion. Rent or buy on Prime Video.

Baghead

Director Alberto Corredor adapted his own short film into this feature, which stars Freya Allan (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Witcher) as a young woman who inherits an aging pub from her estranged father—only to realize her windfall includes the shape-shifting creature that dwells in the basement. Stream on Shudder.

Infested

io9's review dubbed this “Attack the Block, but with killer spiders,” so arachnophobes will need to exercise their best judgment. The director, Sébastien Vanicek, was just tapped to create a new film spinning off the Evil Dead universe. Stream on Shudder.

Lisa Frankenstein

This Diablo Cody-scripted, Frankenstein-inspired horror comedy has been divisive among audiences, though some hail it as the next great cult classic. Assemble your body parts on the couch and stream on Peacock.

The Camp Host

This blood-spattered indie release follows a camping trip from hell that pits a streetwise adventurer against a woman who’s spent a little too much time hugging trees in the wilderness. Stream on Tubi.
