Best July 4th fireworks, parades, events in Palm Beach County

The nation's birthday has rolled around yet again, giving us no better reason to get outside and enjoy incredible fireworks displays, listen to music and wave those flags. And, by all means, do that while dining on hot dogs, hamburgers, and apple pie with ice cream.

Across Palm Beach County, there will be block parties, baseball games and events to honor fallen soldiers while helping their families. And of course, there will be fireworks.

To help you plan your holiday, we've put together a list of more than a dozen events celebrating July Fourth throughout Palm Beach County.

The Freedom 4 Miler at Constitution Park, Tequesta

In this meaningful and memorable run, all proceeds go directly towards benefitting Believe With Me’s families of fallen soldiers. Be a part of a beautiful, impactful celebration of our independence and freedom. Participants' generosity goes towards buying Christmas gifts for more than 2,500 children of fallen soldiers and service members. In this race, each mile is named after a local fallen hero and all along the way there are props, signs, food snacks and music to let the racers get to know more about the soldier being honored for that mile.

In addition to a patriotic golf cart parade, barbecue and great fireworks, The Spazmatics will perform live at the 4th of July Block Party at Abacoa Amphitheater.

This Fourth festivity will feature a golf cart parade and contest in which the entrants are judged on the patriotic decorations of their carts. There will be barbecue, music by The Spazmatics, a kids zone, a DJ, food and drink specials and more. The fireworks, courtesy of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium and the town of Jupiter, start at 9 p.m.

Burgers on the 4th: Bite into some of the best burgers in Palm Beach County

Mega Bash at Roger Dean Stadium

Combining baseball and the Fourth of July this event will feature baseball games on July 3 and 4. Both games will start at 6 p.m. with fireworks following the July 3 game. The Mega Bash also incorporates the Block Party at Abacoa Amphitheater.

Fourth of July Celebration at PGA National Resort

Held two days before the big day on the Lakeside Lawn, this event will feature a traditional American BBQ, hot dogs and summer cocktails along with live music, a kids playground and a fireworks display.

The festivities are being held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 2. 400 Avenue of Champions, Palm Beach Gardens. Adults $105 until June 23 then $125, children $35. Information: pgaresort.com/things-to-do

Celebrate the 4th of July at North Palm Beach Country Club

Though the fireworks start at 9 p.m., there will be lots of fun activities leading up to them. When the pool opens at 11 a.m. it will feature a DJ and slide, and there will be a kids zone with a bounce house and face painting. Also, there's live music at the NPB Public House, food and beverage tents, and more.

This downtown event promises another great year of Fourth festivities with the theme "Stars and Stripes in Paradise." Now in its 35th year, the largest waterfront Independence Day celebration in South Florida aims to please. There will be roving stilt walkers, jugglers and magicians along with bounce houses, inflatable games and crafts for the kids. There will be three stages providing live music including the NewDay USA Stage, which will host the 13th Army Band; the Meyer Amphitheater from which DJ Infiesta and Co. will keep the kids entertainment zone hopping; and the Informa Stage at Post Park, where the band CoverUp will rock the crowd with their pop/punk/alternative mix. The fireworks, provided by Pyrotecnico, will start at 9 p.m.

'Ignite the Night' at Samuel J. Ferreri Community Park, Greenacres

This patriotic, family-friendly celebration will feature live music by Solid Brass, along with arts and crafts, stilt walkers and food and drink vendors.

July 4th Celebration at Village Center, Palm Springs

Celebrate live entertainment, family activities, holiday festive activities, bounce houses, and fireworks. Blankets or lawn chairs recommended to sit and watch the fireworks.

Star-Spangled Spectacular at Commons Park, Royal Palm Beach

This event is jam-packed with good times including carnival rides, bounce houses, a water slide, a rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline and a petting zoo. There are also multiple competitions including bass fishing, golf, volleyball and cornhole tournaments. Live music will be provided by the Erik Chris Band, Elements (an Earth, Wind and Fire tribute) and more. The national anthem is at 8:55 p.m. followed by fireworks.

Fourth of July Celebration at Village Park, Wellington

The Fourth of July Celebration in Wellington will feature games, music, climbing walls and even ax throwing. The star of the event of course will be the fireworks.

Celebrate the holiday with an alpine woods tube slide, extreme ninja obstacle course, face-to-face climbing wall, bounce houses and competitions like the inflatable horse races, parachute races, hula hoop ring toss and, of course, ax throwing. There will be multiple food and beverage trucks on hand along with live music by The Original Whisky Six and the Justified Loxahatchee Band. The fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. Parking is limited. Guests are encouraged to use the free shuttle service from The Mall at Wellington Green.

Second Annual FourthFest at City of Westlake

Vendors will be on hand as will multiple food trucks, including Mr. B's Caribbean Street Food, G's Hibachi, Mac Bowl, Mister Softee, Potbelly BBQ Grill, Smackin' Smash Burger, PS561 Gourmet Hot Dogs, The French Touch and more. Enjoy live music by the Deep Fried Funk Band as they headline the event along with South Florida's country duo, singer/songwriter, brother/sister Juna N Joey. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

The Belle Glade 4th of July Extravaganza will feature a rodeo, stilt walkers, food trucks, fireworks and more.

Starting early, the celebration begins with the annual Raft Parade ending at Bryant Park before these floating beauties are put to the test at noon in the Raft Race. Though not always pretty, and not exactly breaking any speed records, the raft race is always entertaining for competitors and spectators alike. On the main stage will be DJ Mike Locke at 5 p.m. followed by the Matthew Curry Band, then the Groove Infusion Band and finally the fireworks at 9 p.m.

Annual Independence Day Celebration at Bicentennial Park, Lantana

In addition to fireworks at 9:05 p.m., there will live music by Nikki Kidd & The Collective, food and craft vendors, a stilt walker and more.

The city's family-friendly July 4th event has been going strong for over 50 years and draws around 80,000 people to the Village by the Sea each year. It begins with the solemn 60-foot flag raising ceremony, with an honor guard and the singing of the National Anthem. From there the celebration has something for everyone — contests, food trucks and vendors, children’s activities and games, non-stop entertainment, and so much more! The spectacular Zambelli Fireworks will start promptly at 9 p.m.

4th of July Celebration at Sunset Cove Amphitheater, Boca Raton

This Palm Beach County Parks & Recreation event, held in partnership with the West Boca Community Council, will feature the Wonderama Band, playing the hits of yesterday and today, along with bounce houses, games and fireworks. There will be concessions on site. Lawn chairs and blankets welcome.
