Where every Thunder player ranked in HoopsHype’s top-100 trade value player list

The HoopsHype staff recently published an article that ranked the top 100 players in the league in terms of their trade value.

The list takes into account the player’s talent, stats, contract, age and agent. This is not necessarily ranking the best 100 players in the NBA due to these other factors in play.

The Oklahoma City Thunder ended up with four entrants in the 100 players listed out. The four were Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Chet Holmgren and Lu Dort.

All four are the best and most important players for the Thunder in the midst of their rebuild.

Let’s take a look at where these four ended up overall in the top 100 list.

No. 22: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

“Oklahoma City could probably get a package of picks similar to the amount they received for Paul George for Gilgeous-Alexander if they wanted to extend their rebuild. Look for the Thunder to continue developing him and their lottery picks and to start competing soon.”

No. 45: Chet Holmgren

“Holmgren’s value should remain high over the next few seasons despite any skepticism on his body and length.”

No. 55: Josh Giddey

“Giddey seems to be part of the next great Thunder team alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and whoever they select in this year’s draft. He should rise through these rankings over the next few seasons.”

No. 76: Lu Dort

“Dort should still maintain strong trade value on $16.5 million annually thanks to his elite perimeter defense.”
