Where to get a donut on National Doughnut Day in Delaware
A big holiday is here, especially for sweet lovers: National Doughnut Day, which is celebrated on Sunday, Nov. 5.
Many may be wondering, wasn't it just National Donut Day in June? Yes, it was.
On every first Friday of June, National Donut Day is held in commemoration of the Salvation Army's "donut lassies," individuals who helped soldiers on the front lines during World War I, while also providing sweet treats in the process.
Nov. 5, however, is National Doughnut Day, which is held to celebrate the breakfast-themed dessert (which, of course, can be enjoyed at any point in the day).
