A big holiday is here, especially for sweet lovers: National Doughnut Day, which is celebrated on Sunday, Nov. 5.
Many may be wondering, wasn't it just National Donut Day in June? Yes, it was.
On every first Friday of June, National Donut Day is held in commemoration of the Salvation Army's "donut lassies," individuals who helped soldiers on the front lines during World War I, while also providing sweet treats in the process.
Nov. 5, however, is National Doughnut Day, which is held to celebrate the breakfast-themed dessert (which, of course, can be enjoyed at any point in the day).
To ring in the holiday, here are some doughnut recommendations across Delaware to commemorate.

Participating store locations also offer pumpkin spice variants for the fall season, such as a pumpkin spice cake donut, pumpkin spice iced coffee and more.

Some doughnut flavors offered at participating locations include maple frosted, vanilla frosted (with sprinkles, of course) and apple fritter.
