As longtime Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak prepares to ride off into the sunset with his impending retirement, a clip from the popular game show has gone viral yet again. On Thursday night's new episode, a contestant named Tavaris shocked the both the studio audience and viewers at home with a guess that was both wildly inaccurate and inappropriate at the same time.

The four-word puzzle was a "phrase," with just five letters on the board: “_ _ _ _ I_ T_H B_ _T!" Buzzing in, Tavaris attempted to solve the puzzle with the guess, "Right in the Butt!" Not only was the first word of the puzzle four letters, not five, but if the last word was indeed "butt" there would have already been two T's on the board.

Suffice to say, it was not the correct answer, as the woman to his right could be heard exclaiming "What?!" while the audience gasped and laughed at the same time. For his part, Sajak somehow managed to keep his composure, deadpanning a half-amused sounding "no."

His shocked fellow contestant, Blake, then correctly solved the puzzle by buzzing in with the answer, "This is the Best!"

The clip made its way to X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday evening where user @TayVictoria8 wrote: "All time Wheel of Fortune moment right here." In just over 12 hours the clip has been viewed nearly 5.5 million times.

Another clip making the rounds shows the aftermath of the hilarious incident. "How you doing Tavaris? You've already made an impression on us," Sajak quipped, to which Tavaris apologized and admitted that he was "a little excited."

"We'll figure out a way to handle that tastefully. I have no idea what that'll be, but..." Sajak responded in good humor.

Sajak's final episode of Wheel of Fortune has reportedly already been recorded and is scheduled to air on June 7, with Ryan Seacrest taking over as his replacement. During his final week, the show will run a series of tributes to the 77-year-old called “Thanks for the Memories." And he sure was left with one last memory for the books.
