What's new on Hulu in September 2023

What's new on Hulu in September? On of the best action movies of the 21st century, the returns on an inspiring sports docuseries and the first family of reality TV, plus a live streaming music event you won't want to miss.

Best movie on Hulu in September: Mad Max: Fury Road (September 9)

Mad Max: Fury Road is perhaps the best action movie of the 21st century. George Miller's symphony of action and cars is impossible to turn away from once you've started watching, as you're in awe that so much of what is seen on screen — in this era of CGI — was done for real. Add in great performances from Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult, it's no wonder that the movie has had many calling it a masterpiece since it was released in 2015.

If you don't want to head down the Fury Road, there are still a number of other great movies new to Hulu this month, including A Knight's Tale, An Education, The Devil Wears Prada, Hail Caesar!, The Lego Movie, Raising Arizona, Talladega Nights, True, Lies, Wedding Crashers, The Menu and The Banshees of Inisherin.

Best TV show on Hulu in September:  Welcome to Wrexham season 2 (September 13)

I am a fan of American football much more than I am of what the rest of the world calls football (soccer here in the US), but I couldn't help but have been won over by the story of Wrexham, its club and Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's pursuit of restoring it to its former glory in the great sports docuseries Welcome to Wrexham. We may already know the big picture of what happens in Welcome to Wrexham season 2, but to learn more about all the different people impacted and involved with Wrexham AFC is the real draw and one I’m excited to return to when the new season premieres.

Some other TV shows landing on Hulu this month to keep an eye out for are Hulu originals The Other Black Girl and The Kardashians season 4, day-after streams of new fall TV 2023 shows and of Law & Order season 24 episodes, to help deal with the sadness from the show not having new episodes this fall.

Best live stream on Hulu in September:  iHeartRadio Music Festival (September 22-23)

Hulu has become a great place to live stream music events, and it has another one in September with the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival. This year's lineup includes the Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Kelly Clarkson, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Lenny Kravitz, Public Enemy, Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Thirty Seconds to Mars and more, and you can watch all from the comfort of your couch.
