Each week on “Whatcha Packin’,” Michelle Visage interviews the recently eliminated queen and shows us some of the runway looks they didn’t get the chance to use on the show. Following her episode 5 elimination, Amanda Tori Meating likens the experience to the rise of a rollercoaster and how the filming of episodes became an “out of body” feeling. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In her interview with Michelle, Amanda said that her drag is heavily influenced by the New York scene and she is considered relocating back there from Los Angeles because she misses it. Michelle actually thought that Amanda was a New York queen at first because of her performance style. Of the “Drag Race” experience itself, Amanda admits that “the delulu is powerful,” explaining that she arrived thinking she’d be in the finals and sees delusion as an important part of being able to participate in a show like this.

Michelle offered that Amanda may have come to the show “half-baked” as a new queen and Amanda shared that her New Jersey-based mother even expressed to her before she left for filming that she wished “she had another year” to prepare. Of the things we didn’t get to see from Amanda on the show, she said that she had planned Kim Cattrall for “Snatch Game” and showed an elaborate “Game of Thrones” regal look, a mechanized green and gold garment, and a cheeky pink and yellow Carol Burnett show inspired look that she would have wore on the runway.
