What We Learned from Conan’s Trip to Armenia

On Tuesday, Conan O’Brien aired his visit to Armenia with his assistant, Sona. Conan and Sona then traveled to experience all that Armenian culture had to offer. We learned a lot of tips about traveling for their trip. For one, speaking the local language is important. Conan’s first move was to spout the few Armenian phrases he’d learned to anyone that would hear them. Those included “I want to eat your liver,” and, “I die in your body."

It’s also important to try the local cuisine. Conan tried some kind of Armenian aphrodisiac, though it seemed to scare off some locals. One should always be open to the possibilities of love in a foreign country, so Sona went to a matchmaker to look for a husband. And when returning home, it is customary to bring friends and loved ones gifts; Conan’s gifts to Sona’s family were dried apricots, cognac, and a gaudy painting of a woman.

Conan airs weeknights at 11 pm on TBS.
