What's Red, Blush, and Gorgeous All Over? 'The Giver' Premiere in New York.

New York City is known for fashion, and nowhere was that more clear than at ‘The Giver’ premiere Monday night. (The adaptation of the young-adult novel about a dystopian society hits theaters Aug. 15.) The movie’s four fabulous female leads — Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes, Taylor Swift, and Odeya Rush — all looked not only stunning, but color-coordinated. Holmes and Swift could have been sisters in their blush-toned confections. Swift’s was topped with a red that mimicked Rush’s scarlet frock which had small flowers that bloomed into the bigger ones seen on Meryl’s sparkling top. The event itself came on the heels of some tragic news as the stars learned of the tragic death of Robin Williams. Jeff Bridges, who appeared with Williams in 'The Fisher King,’ was faced with introducing 'The Giver’ to the audience at the Ziegfeld Theatre. “It’s very difficult for me to be here with all these emotions and feelings — wonderful, I must say, but as with many elements in life, there is an underbelly, and we’re losing a dear, dear friend, Robin Williams,” he said. After a glance at the ceiling, he added, “I feel Robin coming in now, he says, 'Get on with it, Bridges! On with the show!’”
