After appearing on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette and having his heart stepped on with a high heel, Peter Weber is back at it again.

Peter was selected for the top position on the next season of The Bachelor, premiering on January 6. The first trailer recently came out, and fans were shocked to see Hannah Brown appear, and even getting close to Peter, as if the two were about to kiss.

Though producers of the show are notorious for trailers that give viewers a false impression, fans were still completely thrown off by Hannah's presence.

Chris Harrison, our favorite reality t.v. host spoke about the new season in an interview with E!, and dropped some details about why Hannah would appear.

Apparently, Hannah will not be a contestant on the show, as was rumored, but she'll appear on the show as a way for both her and Peter to move forward.

Harrison said, "I think it's something that needed to be dealt with, the relationship. I think it's a relationship that didn't have a clean, clear break."

He continued, "I think there were and maybe are feelings there, and some underlying feelings that maybe they thought they had both dealt with, but I knew once they saw each other, they probably hadn't really dealt with them all, so I think it's a hurdle that we needed to clear before we moved forward."

While this isn't the first time the show has brought on exes, it seemed it was a clear attempt to throw off viewers and make them believe Hannah might want Peter back.

Peter and Hannah Are Both Moving On

Harrison continued, "I think it was important that she was a part of this, because she was a big part of Peter's life. I think they did love each other very much on her season, and I think that was a very tough decision for Hannah to make not to end up with peter, and one that she's probably thought a lot about, and I think it was something that needed to be done, and a conversation that needed to be had."

Unfortunately, this means the former couple will not be giving things another go. That's probably a good thing, considering Hannah already tried to get Tyler Cameron back after dumping Jed Wyatt, and we all saw how that turned out.

A Group Shot Was Recently Released

The 30 contestants were finally revealed this week, along with their (always strange) occupations. Apparently, there is even a cattle rancher!

Some guest appearances were also announced, including Fred Willard, Demi Burnett, and country singer Chase Rice. Unfortunately, they didn't ask Jed to sing, as that would have helped his career so much!

On night one, Peter will have to shave the group down to just 22, meaning we'll be seeing a whole lot of cat-fighting and champagne tossing.

Tune in on Monday, January 6!
