Fall TV is nearly upon us, but that doesn’t mean all of your favorite shows will be back. After all, cable and streaming platforms don’t follow the broadcast cycle, nor the Nielsen season.

That looseness of scheduling is likely one of the key factors aiding to the sheer quality of the series contained on our list. (Other factors include I.P., budget, talent, smaller episode orders, fewer guidelines from the Federal Communications Commission, etc.)
