West Lafayette Fire Department cycles through surplus defibrillators

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. − A total of 10 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) were declared as surplus by the West Lafayette Fire Department at Tuesday morning's Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.

Eight of the 10 AEDs were traded in for CR2 AEDs, which are user-friendly and use some of the most recent technology in AEDs. The remaining two surplus AEDs are "no longer of any use to the department or City and will be disposed of properly."

Cumberland Dog Park ribbon cutting

Towards the end of the meeting, Kathy Lozano, Parks and Recreation superintendent for West Lafayette, made note of the upcoming ribbon cutting for the Cumberland Dog Park, located at 501 Kalberer Road.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at the dog park. Everyone and their furry friends are invited to view the ribbon cutting and enjoy the park.
