Mere months after Asteroid City crashed into theaters, Wes Anderson has a new short film on the way. A Roald Dahl adaptation, it's called The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar — today, it received its first trailer.

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character, a gambler who becomes obsessed with a man (Ben Kingsley) who's learned to see without the use of his eyes. The cast list features a handful of new additions to the Anderson stable, like Dev Patel and Richard Ayoade, but it also reunites the director with Ralph Fiennes for the first time since he starred in The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Netflix Ralph Fiennes in 'The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar'

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar is just 37 minutes long, but there's more where that came from. Anderson confirmed at Venice that this is merely the first in a series of short films based on Dahl stories that he is directing for Netflix. Cumberbatch, Fiennes, Kingsley, Patel, and Ayoade will also appear in The Swan, The Ratcatcher, and Poison, all of which debut this month.

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar will have a limited theatrical release starting on Sept. 20 before it hits Netflix on Sept. 27. The Swan, The Ratcatcher, and Poison will follow on Sept. 28, 29, and 30, respectively.
