Wes Anderson’s New Movie The French Dispatch Pushed to 2021

The French Dispatch, Wes Anderson’s new comedy drama about a fictional newspaper, has been delayed for a second time, Deadline reports. The movie will likely arrive in 2021, a Searchlight Pictures representative tells Pitchfork. Revisit the trailer for The French Dispatch below.

The French Dispatch stars Benicio del Toro, Bill Murray, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, and more as the moving parts of a Kansas newspaper’s foreign press bureau, as well as their journalistic subjects. In April, pandemic rescheduling delayed the release from July to October.

Wes Anderson’s last film was Isle of Dogs. Read Pitchfork’s feature “How Wes Anderson Perfected the Music-Nerd Soundtrack.”
