Wendy Williams Disagress With PEOPLE's Decision to Make John Legend Sexiest Man Alive

PEOPLE Magazine chose John Legend as this year's Sexiest Man Alive. “I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure,” John Legend the publication when it was first announced. “Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!” Wendy Williams is certainly one of those people picking him apart.

She scrutinized Legend on her talk show, “When I think about a sexy man, I’m not thinking John Legend,” she said. “The first thing I think of is that I weigh so much more than him. If we were walking down the street and somebody wanted to spray me with a water gun, I need a man that’s going to punch someone in the face. You know what I mean?” While her stance seems to support toxic masculinity tendencies, she is entitled to her opinion.

“If I’m not quite feeling right after leaving the club, I need a man to throw me over his shoulder and say, ‘Come on girl.’ John is not that guy,” she continued. Williams weighed who she may have selected for the title Sexiest Man Alive. “You know who I like and he’s not even the ‘Sexiest Man Alive,’” Williams continued. “I normally don’t like facial hair, but in new life, I’m meeting a lot of new men. If I could think of one person it would be Jason Momoa. Anyway, but congratulations, John.”

Jason Momoa might be getting hit up by Wendy Williams for a date in the near future. Williams went on to tear apart the concept of "Sexiest Man Alive" as a whole. Williams commented, “I think People magazine needs to take away this ‘sexist people alive’ thing because there’s not one person about everything.” Williams was also sure to send some "kind" words John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's way saying, “Like, they’re short and they’re thin. I love them together, but not apart."

It seems like Wendy Williams isn't the only person who disagrees with PEOPLE's decision. 'Shark Tank' business mogul Barbara Corcoran tweeted, "The Sexiest Man Alive? You’ve got to be kidding! No doubt John Legend is a phenomenal musician, but I’ll tell you what makes a guy sexy- a fabulously chiseled face, eyes that communicate “I want you NOW!”, and a body that you can’t stop looking at. #ReVote" Chrissy Teign is also having fun with her hubby's new title teasing him over social media.
