Wendy Williams suffered a scary moment on Tuesday's episode of "The Wendy Williams Show."

While addressing her audience on Halloween, Williams -- dressed as the Statue of Liberty -- was about to kick off her show's annual costume contest when she froze mid-sentence and looked wide-eyed into the camera.

"Let's get started," she said as her speech started to slow before pausing completely, stumbling backwards and ultimately collapsing to the floor. Clips from the moment, which immediately were shared on Twitter by concerned fans, show crew members rush onto the stage as the show faded to black.

Following a lengthy commercial break and several minutes of confusion online, Williams appeared back on her show to address the scary incident.

"That was not a stunt," she said. "I overheated in my costume and I passed out. I am a champ and I am back."

Fans urged the talk show host to seek medical attention for the incident, despite her appearing healthy when the show returned from the commercial break.

UPDATE: A rep for "The Wendy Williams Show" released a statement to ET in response to the viral incident, indicating that the 53-year-old is "feeling much better."

"She overheated because of her heavy costume, makeup and lights," the rep said. "She was able to finish the show in true Wendy spirit. She will address the incident on tomorrow's show."

Stay tuned for Wendy Williams' response on Wednesday.
