The Welcome to Wrexham team is welcoming a big win!

“A few years ago, if you told me I would be crying tears of joy over a football match taking place in North Wales, you would be Rob McElhenney,” Reynolds wrote on X. “Congrats to Wrexham and to my co-chairman in crime. Double up the town! This is the ride of our lives.”

In another post, Reynolds went on to call Wrexham AFC “magic” and thanked fans for their support throughout the years. “My soul feels like it’s left my body,” Reynolds added in an Instagram story. “Unbelievable moment for the town, the club and the hundreds of people behind the scenes doing the hard stuff.”

Welcome to Wrexham was renewed for Season 3 in November 2023 ahead of its Season 2 finale. The docuseries follows McElhenney and Reynolds across the pond as they work to restore Wrexham AFC, “one of the oldest and most storied football teams in history,” to glory, according to FX’s official synopsis. The pair purchased the team in 2020.

Season 3 is set to debut on May 2.
