Is The Weeknd Releasing a New Song About Ex, Selena Gomez? Does He Still Have Feelings For Her?
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd started a relationship after he split from his long-time girlfriend, Bella Hadid and Gomez split from Justin Bieber for the third time. However, their romantic relationship didn't last longer than 10-months.
Although the pair have been broken up for two years now, it seems The Weeknd is about to release a new song that might just be about their short-term romance. It is called, 'Like Selena' and will be released soon to the public. In fact, according to E!News, the 'Starboy' singer recently registered the new song to the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers directory.

According to a close insider of the couple, the reason for the break-up after only being together for 10-months is not only because of the conflicting schedules they had that was keeping them from being able to see each other much but also because being away from him for too long was making Gomez feel insecure, unsafe, and mentally exhausted.
Although the couple agreed to go their separate ways after 10 months of dating, the idea for them to split came from Gomez. The insider said this, "Selena and Abel both agreed that this relationship wasn’t going to work due to his busy schedule, but Selena was the one who wanted to end it. She didn’t feel secure while he was away, and the schedule conflicts got very exhausting for her.”
Another close insider of the couple had this to say, "They are still talking and will remain friends. They have been very grown-up about it. It’s been hard for them to come to the realization that this is the direction things were heading, but it’s been hard for months."
The Weeknd's real name is Abel Tesfaye. Does he possibly still have feelings for Gomez? We may not know that answer for a while but we can always speculate about it.
When the couple got together, even after both had just ended longterm relationships with their ex's, the couple showed a lot of PDA and seemed like they were together for a long time already. They seemed like they knew each other for a long time already and seemed like they really cared for each other.
After their romance hit the headlines to be known to the public, it seemed like they showed their romantic feelings for each other even more. Would they have stayed together longer, and possibly still be together, if it wasn't for their conflicting schedules? Would they still be together if they were able to spend more time with each other?

One thing we do know about The Weeknd is that he is releasing new music. He has been teasing about it on social media, recently. In fact, he recently reactivated his Instagram account after taking a break from social media for a little while and posted a few teasers on there about upcoming music.
The Weeknd created a post on Instagram, sharing a picture that was black and white and blurry but he captioned it with, "the fall starts tomorrow night."
He also shared a second post with the caption of, "tomorrow night we star again."
