HBO's newest controversial show, The Idol, has accumulated some rough reviews, receiving a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes and a wide range of viral hate tweets on Twitter.
The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye), who is The Idol's co-creator and also costars in it, has been fighting for his life on the internet lately because people just straight-up don't like the show and aren't afraid to say it.
The Idol has received criticism for being sexually explicit, with some reviewers saying that it "degrades its main female character," Jocelyn, played by Lily-Rose Depp.
Well, some fans think Abel may have turned into his character, Tedros, as he has taken to Twitter to respond to some mean tweets about The Idol:
