Weekend things to do: Holiday drinking in Lantana, top chefs grilling in Loxahatchee, Monty Python karaoke

This weekend brings the annual ceremonial toasts at Miracle, which has nothing to do with the official end of hurricane season on Thursday, but we can toast our good fortune with that, too. However, the end of the season will be celebrated in the Conch Republic on Thursday with the annual Burning of the Hurricane Flags ceremony, which has nothing to do with frustrated season-ticket holders burning Miami Hurricanes flags, but we can burn those, too.

THURSDAY

Unsilent nights:The kitschy Christmas-themed cocktail pop-up known as Miracle begins its takeover of bars across the country this week, including three (officially) in South Florida. Tin Roof in downtown Fort Lauderdale started its Miracle mingling and Kringling on Tuesday (see Instagram.com/tinroofftlauderdale); Ravish in Lantana will start its Miracle pop-up on Saturday (RavishKitchen.com); and the Miami bar Better Days has had its Miracle decorations up for a week already (Instagram.com/betterdays305). They’re cool like that. Most bars host Miracle through the end of December, and 10% percent of proceeds from the sales of the Santa Pants and Christmas Carol Barrel cocktails, plus the Santa’s Head mugs, go to charity. Visit MiraclePopUp.com.

Roots of the matter:The Wood Brotherscome to the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday night with music from their critically lauded new album, “Heart is the Hero.” Americana Highways praised the record’s “remarkably satisfying roots music and … heartfelt lyrics played brilliantly by a trio that sounds like a band twice their size.” Tickets cost $33+. Doors open at 7:30, and we have good things about the openers, the Watson Twins. Visit CultureRoom.net.

Salsa king:Bronx-born salsa icon Willie Colon will bring his horn of plenty to Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood at 8 p.m. Thursday. Tickets start at $71+ at MyHRL.com.

Holiday spirits:The Wharf Fort Lauderdale unveils its Riverfront Holiday Village display on Thursday, with more than 100,000 lights and other seasonal decorations, plus $5 Tito’s cocktails from 4 to 7 p.m. The night kicks off the holiday calendar at the downtown riverside hot spot, which includes Santafest on Dec. 9, the Ugly Sweater Party on Dec. 15 and the Jolly Jog 5K Fun Run and Toy Drive on Dec. 21. Visit WharfFTL.com.

Kenny indoors:You know who else has tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Friday? It’s like finding out you’ll get to celebrate two Christmases because your Dad just moved into his own apartment. Tickets for Chesney’s Hard Rock stop on his Sun Goes Down Tour, with Megan Moroney (“Tennessee Orange”) the opening act, will start at $105+ at MyHRL.com. A presale is running through 10 p.m. Thursday (password: HELLO) via Hard Rock’s Facebook, X and Instagram accounts.

Holiday shopping:The third annual Pine & Palm Holiday Market, a showcase of work by local artists and makers, is at the Coral Springs Museum of Art on Friday and Saturday. Weekend burger:In case you were wondering, and you were, the burger of the month for December from Cheffrey Eats (alter ego of Chef Jeffrey Lemmerman, who got the Triple D treatment from Guy Fieri in March) is the French Onion Burger. The imposing stack, making its debut on Friday at Cheffrey’s spot at Barrel of Monks Brewing in Boca Raton, includes a patty layered with melted gruyere cheese, caramelized onion jam and crispy fried onions on a garlic and gruyere-crusted bun. It will be served with a side of French onion soup for dipping. Cheffrey says it is “packed with flavor.” Visit CheffreyEats.com.

Whiskey giver: The stylish restaurant Warren in Delray Beach is hosting its Pop-up Holiday Shop on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. If you know Warren, you know this will not be an array of oven mitts and gingerbread houses. Warren does booze. So you’ll find many options for the drinker in your life, including flasks, books, tasting packages, gift cards and, of course, exclusive bottles of whiskey. Visit Facebook.com/warrendelray.

Going strong:Iconic downtown West Palm Beach music dive Respectable Street will throw its 36-Year Anniversary Block Party on Saturday in the 500 block of Clematis Street, with 36 bands on six stages including Teenage Werewolves, Surfer Blood, Spred The Dub, Ordinary Boys, Zoo Peculiar, Donzii, Cannibal Kids, Blood Orchid and more. Not cool, man: The Miami Old-Time Jam on Saturday will celebrate the one-year mark of providing aggressively uncool music made by local fiddlers, banjoists, guitarists, cellists, bassists and others (among them Gold Dust Lounge’s Russell Mofsky) at Lost City Brewing in North Miami. The free family- and pet-friendly party begins at 7:30 p.m. Visit Instagram.com/miamioldtime.

Guitar man:Blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, whose South Florida fans are legion, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Hard Rock Live, an exciting match of musician and venue. Tickets are available, starting at $45+ at Ticketmaster.com.

King for a night: Wellington-raised Elvis tribute artist Matt Stone pays homage to early Elvis in his performances, which is easier when you’re 20 years old and impossibly thin and athletic. Stone will bring his energetic act — which earned him a top 10 finish in last year’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest at Graceland, the so-called Super Bowl of Elvis Tributes — to the Arts Garage in downtown Delray Beach at 8 p.m. Saturday. He’ll be accompanied by a full band and backing vocalists. Tickets start at $45+ at ArtsGarage.org.

SUNDAY

Farm to table: The second installment of the popular Swank Table dinner series, of which there are just 10, takes place in the big barn on the 20-acre farm at Swank Specialty Produce in Loxahatchee on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. The theme for this family-style gathering is Farm Market Asado, a multicourse grilled-meat affair featuring chefs Tristen Epps (Ocean Social, Miami Beach), Brian Nasajon (Beaker & Gray, Miami), Akino West (Rosie’s, Miami) and Jenniffer Woo (pastry chef, Lucky Shuck, Jupiter). The brewer in the spotlight this time is NOBO Brewing Co. in Boynton Beach, with music by locals Uproot Hootenanny. Visit DaniaImprov.com.

Chimney House in downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Sailboat Bend will host its holiday brunch on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a special menu, a classic car show, live music on the patio and the opportunity for a family picture with the Big Guy and the missus. Visit Facebook.com/thechimneyhousefl.

Monty Python karaoke:The classic Arthurian comedy “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” released 48.5 years ago, will be screened on Sunday at multiple South Florida theaters in what Iconic Events and Mercury Studios are pitching as an interactive, quote-along version. The screening, dubbed Monty Python and the Holy Grail 48½ Anniversary Quote-Along, will encourage viewers to chime in with their favorite lines from the movie. A second screening will happen on Wednesday, again in theaters from Palm Beach Gardens to South Miami. For a list of theaters and showtimes, visit HolyGrailInCinemas.com.
