Just because summer is almost over doesn't mean the festival season is coming to an end. There are still numerous events yet to come including the Serbian Festival, Celebrando, Grove City Arts in the Alley, and two new events, Resi-Fest and Denison University's Roots Music and Arts Festival.

'King of the Waltz' filling seats at the Schott

The house is filling fast at the Schottenstein Center, 555 Borror Drive, for Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu’s performance at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, so get your tickets while you can! Known as “The King of the Waltz” to millions of fans worldwide, Rieu founded the Johann Strauss Orchestra with just a dozen members in 1987. Now, the 60-piece group is the largest private orchestra in the world. Rieu’s massive discography includes more than 500 platinum and 270 gold certifications, and 30 No. 1 chart positions worldwide. Tickets for the concert start at $83. Arrive early and make an evening of it with dinner in the arena's Andy Geiger Lounge from 6-7:30 p.m. (Concert tickets are required to enter.) Dinner costs $75 per guest, plus sales tax. 'Drag Race' champ to headline Sanctuary show

Trinity the Tuck, the season four winner of "RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars," will headline a drag-tastic, bombastic show with fellow entertainers Amaya Sexton and Zhané Dawlingz at The Sanctuary on Neil, 618 Neil Ave., on Friday. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. With nearly a dozen Maxi Challenge victories to her name, Trinity has earned the most wins of any contestant in the "Drag Race" franchise, and is the queen who's lip-synced the most times throughout the show’s run. A meet-and-greet with Trinity will follow the show. Tickets are $75 for upper floor tables, $100 for rotunda tables; $150 for VIP floor tables. Ticket sales end Friday. (eventbrite.com)

Arts in the Alley back for 44th year

The annual Grove City Arts in the Alley will return this weekend, with a variety of art displays, artisan vendors, live music, and more in Town Center Park, 3359 Park St. Hours will be 5-9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. In addition to fine arts, crafts, photography, quilt and youth art shows, a parade will march south on Broadway from Southwest Boulevard at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Festival to serve up taste of Serbian culture

You won't need a passport to travel to the Balkans this weekend, when the grounds of St. Stevan of Dechani Serbian Orthodox Church, 1840 N. Cassady Ave., are transformed into a Serbian village where visitors can experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the culture. In addition to singing, dancing, children's activities, and church tours, the annual Serbian Festival will offer delectable cuisine from spit-roasted lamb to homemade pastries, plus a full bar of Serbian liquors, beers and wines, as well as soft drinks. Hours are 5-10 p.m. Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 for 18 and older, free for 17 and younger. (ststevanofdechani.org)

Inaugural Resi-Fest to launch in Plain City

Resi-Fest, a new festival showcasing emerging talent, supporting the local economy and promoting mental health awareness, will debut Saturday in Pastime Park, 370 N. Chillicothe St., Plain City. The fest will feature live music from a dozen acts on two stages, art displays and other attractions like the Restoration Station offering workshops in hypnotherapy, yoga, Tai Chi, and a freeform movement dance party. Hours are 4-11 p.m. The free event will benefit Heer to Serve, a mutual aid group working with the unsheltered community in Columbus, and North Central Mental Health Services. (resifest.com)

Ani DiFranco to bring folk, feminism to Kemba Live

Critically lauded singer-songwriter, feminist, activist and author Ani DiFranco is coming to Kemba Live, 405 Neil Ave., on Saturday, with Kirsten Ford, DiFranco's musical colleague on the Righteous Babe Records label she founded at age 19. Doors open at 7 p.m. DiFranco, whose sound melds influences from folk, rock, punk, funk, hip hop, jazz and other genres, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Little Plastic Castle," her breakthrough ninth album, with a remastered edition featuring three bonus tracks. The Grammy-nominated album was ranked No. 25 in NPR'S 150 Greatest Albums Made by Women in 2017. A January release of the single "The Knowing" accompanied her debut children's book by the same name, which came out in March. Tickets are $34.50 in advance and $40 at the door. (promowestlive.com)

Roots music and arts to connect at Denison

Denison University's Department of Music will premiere its DU Roots Music and Arts Festival, a day to celebrate the connections between creative works, from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. Set in the east parking lot of the Michael D. Eisner Center for the Performing Arts, 240 W. Broadway, Granville, the free festival will feature guest artist Evie Ladin with a showcase of current and past students' work, as well as a solo performance. Celebrando to honor Latino cultural diversity

In observance of National Hispanic American Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15), the Ohio History Connection and several Ohio cultural organizations will host Celebrando, a day of music and dance performances, arts and crafts, and more. Guests will learn about Latino/Hispanic heritage from Ohioans of different cultural backgrounds at the event, set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Ohio History Center, 800 E. 17th Ave. Celebrando also will include food from local establishments like Estilo Brazil and Karmelita's, a pop-up shopping experience hosted by El Mercadito Cositas Lindas, and a panel discussion on placemaking and identity. While the event is free, reserving free tickets in advance is recommended. (ohiohistory.org/events)

Al Sheppard, an 81-year-old music enthusiast, is bringing his vast record collection to Sotto Terra at The Sanctuary on Neil, 610-618 Neil Ave., where he'll serve as the speakeasy's DJ from 6-9 p.m. each Wednesday. As part of "Way Back Wednesdays," Sheppard will spin tunes from as far back as 1949 to '80s rock. "You won’t hear this music every day on the radio. It’s not necessarily music you can dance to,” he said. While listening to the eclectic musical selection, guests can relax in a 1940s lounge atmosphere and enjoy Sotto Terra's new fall menu and specialty craft cocktails. (sottoterraatthesanctuary.com)

Brandt-Roberts hosting local artist's exhibition

"In The Trees The Night Wind Stirs," a solo exhibition by Columbus artist Christopher Burk, is on display through Oct. 1 at Brandt-Roberts Galleries, 642 N. High St. The exhibit, which grew out of Burk's artist residency in Dresden last fall, is composed of more than 20 works including large- and small-scale pieces in oil and gouache on paper. The artwork is on view during gallery hours, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays.
