Episode 1 of Wedding Impossible arrived on tvN on Monday, February 26, 2024. Jeon Jong-Seo stars in the series as the female lead, Na A-Jeong, while Moon Sang-Min plays the male lead, Lee Ji-Han. Actor Kim Do-Wan portrays one of the most vital characters, Lee Do-Han, in the K-drama.

As Wedding Impossible is one of the most awaited K-dramas of 2024, viewers have been eager to learn how the first episode of the rom-com series has turned out. Right from the beginning, the Korean series dives into the story’s main plot. Lee Do-Han, a wealthy heir of the LJ Group, asks his best friend of fifteen years, Na A-Jeong, to enter a sham marriage with him.

Wedding Impossible Episode 1: Kim Do-Wan asks Jeon Jong-Seo to enter a contract marriage with him

Wedding Impossible Episode 1 begins with Lee Ji-Han (Moon Sang-Min) and Na A-Jeong (Jeon Jong-Seo) at a wedding ceremony. Na A-Jeong is there, playing the role of the bride’s fake best friend. Meanwhile, Lee Ji-Han is there for his company LJ Group’s benefit. He acts as a close friend to the groom only for his company’s gain.

The two meet for the first time when they bump into each other right outside the venue of the wedding. The meeting is not pleasant as both of their papers get scattered. Thereafter, the episode introduces the audience to another significant character, Lee Do-Han (Kim Do-Wan). He is Lee Ji-Han’s brother and expected successor to the LJ Group. Lee Do-Han has a secret that he can not reveal to his family. He is returning to South Korea from abroad after five years.

Na A-Jeong goes to receive him from the airport as she is his high school friend of fifteen years. It looks like the two of them have a special bond of friendship and deeply care for each other. Then, the episode discloses that Na A-Jeong is a struggling actress who wants to make it big in the acting industry and act as the main character in dramas. However, she always ends up getting the extra roles.

Later on, in episode 1 of Wedding Impossible, both Lee Do-Han and Lee Ji-Han arrive at a family meeting where other members of their family are also present. Their grandfather, the chairman of the LJ Group, Hyun Dae-Ho (Kwon Hae-Hyo), has called the meeting. During the meeting, he asks Lee Do-Han to marry Yoon Chae-Won (Bae Yoon-Kyung), the CEO of Taeyang Corporation.

Thereafter, he plans to pass on the management rights to Lee Do-Han. However, Lee Do-Han does not have any intention or desire for marriage. Towards the end of the episode, Lee Do-Han’s grandfather, Hyun Dae-Ho, pressures him to marry Taeyang Corporation’s Yoon Chae-Won. Thus, to keep his secret hidden from his family, Lee Do-Han decides to ask his best friend, Na A-Jeong, to enter into a contract marriage with him.

At the end of Wedding Impossible Episode 1, Lee Do-Han brings Na A-Jeong to a family occasion. He plans to introduce her to his family as his girlfriend. He then goes on to ask Na A-Jeong for the fake marriage. Lee Do-Han offers her two million won in exchange for it. Lee Ji-Han hears his brother asking Na A-Jeong to marry him. The episode ends with Lee Ji-Han firmly opposing it as he already has an instinct that their relationship is fake.
