After Caroline Stanbury called Chanel Ayan the “rudest wedding guest ever” for wearing what Caroline believed was a “f--king wedding dress” to her engagement party, The Real Housewives of Dubai supermodel is doubling down on her lacy white Amato Couture bodysuit and cape.
“I did understand the assignment. I was told, ‘Wear white.’ I did f--king wear white,” Ayan told Page Six. “You know if I’m going to show up at any party, I’m always overdressed and I always look good. It’s not my problem if you’re coming underdressed.”
She added: “My intention was to look good and to feel good and be fabulous and be sexy and be stunning. All of that!”
In the July 20 episode of The Real Housewives of Dubai, Caroline made her own feelings about the outfit known. “That has to be the biggest slap in the face any guest could do to a bride,” she said in her interview. “Anybody else with any ounce of etiquette would understand that you don’t go to a woman’s wedding in a wedding dress... The lace, the train, the veil, and the blonde, blonde wig. I look less bridal than her.” She ended by concluding that Ayan was “the rudest wedding guest ever.”
Caroline Brooks, on the other hand, sided with Ayan. “You have your own look and your own hair and you’re f--king hot as f--k,” she told her friend.
