The spring music season is heating up and there's a lot happening beyond the weekend, and suddenly Royale in Boston is very busy.

Special concert coming up in Weymouth

The East Weymouth Congregational Church continues to stage frequent concerts in their Sanctuary Hall, with a wide variety of music, and this Saturday they've got a really interesting and eclectic combination. Folksinger/fiddler Jake Armerding performs on a regular basis at the Weymouth church, and he's always got an engaging set of original music and remarkable musical content, and this time he's bringing Kevin Gosa along for added support. And opening Saturday's show will be a homegrown jazz duo, with Weymouth's Luke Seto on tenor sax and Oscar Cordner on piano, a pair that loves to re-interpret jazz standards, as well as delve into some fast-paced bebop. It sounds like an odd combination, but somehow these Sanctuary Hall shows make it all work, and the acoustics are first class. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.com.
