Wayne Center for the Arts’ Dance Program will present “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” dance performances set to the music from the iconic film on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20 and 21.

The audience will be enchanted by characters like Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie and Dr. Finklestein.

"One of my goals for the growth of the WCA dance department is to increase the opportunities our dancers have to perform, and especially in ways that engage our community,” Wayne Center Dance coordinator Brittany Eckstrom said in a release. “This particular production features our Senior and Junior Company dancers, ages 6-14.”

Eckstrom said the dancers have been working diligently, and presenting the show for the community is one of the motivators for their dedication.

“In addition to rehearsals, dancers are in classes anywhere from 2-5 days per week,” she continued. “Seeing their hard work come to life through their characters is a joy that I'm excited to share with our audience."

Tickets are available online at WayneArtsCenter.org. Tickets are $20 for general seating and $10 for seniors/youth 5 and under. Proceeds from the event will support Wayne Center for the Arts, specifically to provide scholarships and access to dance programming.
