‘Wayne’ YouTube Original Series Tops 10 Million Views For Pilot Episode

The new YouTube Original series Wayne, a gritty action comedy series starring Mark McKenna (Sing Street, Kat and Alfie: Redwater) as “Wayne” and Ciara Bravo (Big Time Rush, Red Band Society) as “Del,” has surpassed 10 million views for its pilot episode.

The 10 million views were accumulated in five days, January 16 to January 21. Viewers are now able to binge all 10 episodes on YouTube Premium.

The 10 episode series from the writers of Deadpool and Zombieland follows 16-year-old Wayne as he sets out on a dirt bike with his new crush Del to take back the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am that was stolen from his father before he died.

The series is written and created by Shawn Simmons. It is executive produced by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (“Deadpool,” “Zombieland”), Greg Coolidge (“Ride Along”), and Kirk Ward. The series hails from Endeavor Content. The pilot was directed by Iain McDonald.
