The restaurant made headlines in November 2021 after workers walked out, complaining that upper management tried to force them to open the restaurant despite black mold and overflowing sewage in the kitchen. Food inspection reports documented a number of violations, but not all of the claims made by workers, such as the presence of mold.

Tasty King has not returned request for comment as of press time.
