Wavelength Promotes Dan Bowen To Senior VP Of Branded Division, Mike Prall To VP Of Productions, And Taps Lynsey Gray As Head Of PR

EXCLUSIVE: Wavelength, the NYC and London-based film production and branded content studio, has promoted two and hired one.

The studio’s UK Managing Director, Dan Bowen, will now take on the role of Senior Vice President of Branded Content while former Head of Studios Mike Prall now serves as Vice President of Productions. Wavelength is also bringing PR efforts in-house and has tapped film and entertainment publicist Lynsey Gray as Head of PR.

As part of the leadership team, the trio works closely with Wavelength;s Emmy-winning duo, Founder, CEO, and Executive Producer, Jenifer Westphal and President and Executive Producer, Joe Plummer to build on the company’s success and global strategy, which is driven by its mantra: We tell great f**king stories.

London-based Dan Bowen is a Grammy and Independent Spirit-nominated producer and creative production executive who previously led commercial production globally at Vice Media Group as SVP Global Production, overseeing branded content production for VMGs worldwide digital advertising business, and previously led the company’s North American brand production studio. Prior to its acquisition by Vice Media Group, Bowen was a partner and President of Branded Entertainment at Pulse Films. His credits include Nick Cave documentary 20,000 Days On Earth, The Reflektor Tapes, Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D and Beastie Boys Story.

New York City-based Mike Prall’s expanded role will bring his production expertise across Wavelength’s film and television operations and branded production. Over his career, he has produced and overseen television, film, commercials, and branded content for nearly two decades, collaborating with A-list talent, global brands, and creative agencies. His recent television credits include the Grierson-award winner Monster Factory for Apple TV+ and The Fix, narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. His film credits include The Sound of Silence, Love After Love, The Strange Ones, and The Mend, which was nominated for both Gotham and Independent Spirit Awards. He has also produced social action campaigns with Serena Williams, Bernie Sanders, 350.org, the Hillary for America campaign, Al Gore, and the Climate Reality Project, which was awarded a Cannes Silver Lion for Film and Branded Content.

Vancouver-based Lynsey Gray is Wavelength’s first Canadian hire, embodying the studios commitment to fostering global talent following their recent international expansion. Prior to joining the Wavelength team, Lynsey worked as an Account Manager for Jive PR + Digital where she managed a roster of esteemed clients across various industries, particularly in film and immersive entertainment. Notable former clients include Meow Wolf, Color Factory, NEON Global, Vancouver Film School, Whistler Film Festival, Mountainfilm, Austin Film Festival, and more. Lynsey has also led campaigns for films such as 32 Sounds, Rather, The Cave of Adullam, Dear Zoe, starring Sadie Sink, Coffee Wars, starring Kate Nash, Toby Sebastian and Saoirse-Monica Jackson, and 50 Cent’s Skill House.

Since its inception, Wavelength has curated an impressive roster of scripted and non-scripted feature films, shorts, limited series, and theatrical musicals. The studio is best known for supporting stories that highlight little-known or under-recognized communities, and championing significant tastemakers and individuals of cultural impact. Recent projects include 5-time Cinema Eye Nominated 32 Sounds, Let Me Be Me, Venice 2023’s best documentary prize winner Thank You Very Much, and musicals Here Lies Love, The Who’s Tommy, and The Outsiders.
