They grow up so fast! Gabrielle Union just shared a video of daughter Kaavia’s first word, but wasn’t it only yesterday that she and husband Dwayne Wade welcomed the little girl home? As they say, time flies when you’re having fun — and Union has obviously been having a blast watching now-9-month-old Kaavia James grow up and into her adorably precocious personality.

Fortunately for the rest of us, Union has been happy to share the journey, often documenting Kaavia’s major moment on social media. Fans have gotten to tag along as the toddler learned to swim (underwater, no less!). We’ve marveled over the way she cruises around in her walker. And, now, we’re all experiencing Kaavia’s first word. Union posted footage of the exciting milestone to Instagram on Tuesday, showing the little girl in her high chair. With a little coaxing from Mom, Kaavia — whose nickname is “shady baby” for her next-level mean-mugging — said, “Bye-bye.” An understandably proud Union captioned the video, “Get ready world. Next stop, #agt judges table! Bye bye.”

If you’re currently kvetching over how cute this is, you aren’t alone. Union’s close friend La La Anthony gushed, “My girl is talking !! !! !! !!” The Boys actor Laz Alonso shouted out to Kaavia’s nickname, writing, “Shady babyyyyyyyyyy!” And Angie Harmon added what we’re all thinking, saying, “OMG!! We get to see her first words!”

As if that wasn’t enough Kaavia James-cuteness to put you over your cute quota for the week, Union shared a separate video to Kaavia’s Instagram account, and it shows just how serious Union was about Kaavia coming for America’s Got Talent. In this clip, someone is holding the toddler up to her mom’s on-set dressing room door. After banging on it a few times, Kaavia (accidentally) rips Union’s star right off the door. Savage!

From what we’ve seen of Kaavia so far, we’d say this little girl will go far in life. She’s fearless, isn’t afraid to speak up and has already mastered the fine art of side-eye. Now that she’s knocked those first words out of the way, we can’t wait to hear what she says next.
