What to Watch this week: Enter the world of “Wonka” and “The Crown” comes to an end

Timothée Chalamet is putting on his dancing shoes and belting tunes in the movie musical Wonka, a prequel to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where he plays a young Willy Wonka. Jeffrey Wright, Sterling K. Brown, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more star in American Fiction, opening in select theaters; Billy Porter and Luke Evans star in Our Son; and Ginger has escaped the farm in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.

The Crown wraps up its six-season run with its final batch of episodes, centering largely on the courtship between Prince William and Kate Middleton and the death of the Queen Mother. Plus, the limited series Fellow Travelers, starring Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey, comes to its emotional conclusion. Other finales: The Gilded Age, 30 Coins, The Amazing Race, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

New on TV: Kevin Hart and Chris Rock are in the spotlight in the documentary Headliners Only; nine players return for the mini-season, Big Brother: Reindeer Games; Reacher is back for a new season; and the Real Housewives of New York go on an Ultimate Girls Trip.
