A British couple's wedding turned into an epic, Broadway-style spectacle!

When Bonita and Ryan Wright invited their loved ones to gather for their New Year's Eve wedding at the end of 2023, they thought they had their ceremony carefully planned out. But they soon discovered that their guests had a big surprise in store for them.

In a pair of videos that Bonita and videographer SM Weddings shared on Instagram, the camera focuses on a section of guests sitting in their chairs as music plays. Suddenly, a tuxedo-clad man stands up and begins singing the opening words to "One Day More" from the classic musical Les Misérables.

Soon, a second man gets up from his seat and joins the sing-along, prompting quiet chatter among some of the other guests seemingly not in on the surprise. As the song goes on, more and more people stand up and begin singing.

The clip then captures Bonita and Ryan sitting next to each other at the registry book, visibly overcome with emotion in the moment. The bride wipes tears from her eyes while her new husband watches the performance with a look of amazement.

Before long, a full musical show is underway, with more than 10 guests belting out the tune as Bonita and Ryan smile and laugh with joy.

"🔊 🎵 A surprise Bonita & Ryan will never forget," SM Weddings captioned both videos. "A magical surprise performance by their amazingly talented wedding party/cast! on their New Year’s Eve Wedding day."

In the comments section, people had a lot of burning questions about the flash musical performance.

"Okay, someone needs to tell me: Are these all your friends and family members who sing THAT GOOD??!!" one person asked, to which Bonita replied, "We all met at a theatre company, that’s how me & my now HUSBAND 😍 met too, so all our friends surprised us!"

She told another commenter that she "had no idea" their friends had such an incredible surprise planned.

After someone asked what song the guests were singing, Bonita explained that Les Misérables is her and Ryan's favorite musical.

She also commented that her wedding featured "lots of little MT [musical theater] nods," adding, "I’ll share more soon! But this surprise was one of a kind 🥹🫶."

Bonita, who describes herself as a blogger in her Instagram bio, posted many more highlights from her wedding on her Instagram, including a sweet video of her grandfather escorting her down the aisle.

"There was always only one man that would walk me into the next phase of my life, My Grandad 🤍✨," she wrote in the caption. "He set the bar, was the constant in my life, always treated me like a princess. He finally got the moment I made him practise for years for, think he’s glad it’s finally over! But it’s something I’ll treasure forever."

In the comments of the second flash performance post, Bonita joked that her grandfather experienced a moment of panic thinking he, too, had to stand up and sing.

"He genuinely asked my mum if he had to get up 😂," she commented.
