Arrow & DC’s Legends of Tomorrow crossover
HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 8 p.m. & 9 p.m. on The CW
The conclusion of this year’s epic Arrowverse crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is here. “I think this will be, especially the Arrow episode, huge,” DC’s Legends of Tomorrow star Caity Lotz, who plays Sara Lance/White Canary, tells EW. “When [we were] out there shooting the big battle scene and looking at the monitors there, it looked pretty epic.” Following the destruction of the multiverse in Part 3, Part 4 finds the surviving heroes disheartened and stuck at the Vanishing Point. “At the start of it, it’s been wearing on everybody,” says Lotz. “I don’t think [Sara is] necessarily the one holding it together there. I think they’re all struggling and tensions are high. But Sara definitely ends up stepping into a leader position and calling the shots.” Meanwhile, the Legends episode, which is the crossover’s finale, is loads of fun. “It definitely has some Legends flavor,” says Lotz. “To put these characters, who are so used to being serious about everything and [think] everything is the end of the world, into a Legends situation, it’s fun watching [them] adapt to it and try to figure it out because it’s not what they’re used to.” —Chancellor Agard

This Is Us
HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 9 p.m. on NBC
Plenty of uncertainty awaits the Pearsons when the NBC family drama returns for its winter premiere. “[W]e head back to the 1970s, with Jack and Rebecca trying to navigate their relationship despite strong objections from her father,” executive producer Elizabeth Berger tells EW. Back in the present, Randall and Miguel will take Rebecca to the doctor, so they can determine what is wrong with her memory. On a more positive (musical) note, John Legend pops up as a guest star. You’ve EGOT to be there. —Dan Snierson
