Watch the trailer for Red Nose Day's Four Weddings and a Funeral sequel

In the immortal words of David Cassidy, we think we love this trailer.

The cast of Four Weddings and a Funeral, including Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, and Kristin Scott Thomas, are reuniting for a short film sequel titled One Red Nose Day and a Wedding, which will air as part of Red Nose Day on NBC on May 23. The night of programming marks Comic Relief USA’s annual campaign to end child poverty.

The short, which was shot over two days last December, reunites the original cast for the nuptials of two as yet unrevealed characters. In the first official trailer for the mini-sequel, Grant, MacDowell, and others state their character names in costume before requesting “the pleasure of your company at the wedding of the year.”

EW was on set for the 25-years-in-the-making reunion and actor John Hannah told us, “It’s nice to be part of something for such a great cause, and also, just catching up with people after 25 years.”

For any that have wondered what Charles, Carrie, Tom, Matthew, David, and others have been up to in the ensuing years (and if their love has endured), the sequel should provide some welcome answers — and a delightful chance to see rom-com favorites back in action.

Original screenwriter Richard Curtis has written the short especially for Red Nose Day 2019, as he did with the much-anticipated Love Actually sequel that aired in 2017. Mike Newell also returns to direct after helming the original film.

Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Hannah, Rowan Atkinson, James Fleet, David Haig, Sophie Thompson, David Bower, Robin McCaffrey, Anna Chancellor, Rupert Vansittart, Simon Kunz, Sara Crowe, and Timothy Walker are all returning, as well as some still unannounced special guest stars.
