Watch Tim Tebow ‘baptizing’ fan after hitting green at TPC Sawgrass 17th hole

The 17th hole on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach is one of the most iconic holes in golf.

It’s not an extremely long par-3, but it features an island green that has seen more than one PGA Tour player empty a shot into a watery grave through the years.

So when a recent event was held at the famed track in the Jacksonville area, former University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow made a little proposition for the person he chose from the crowd to hit a tee shot on the hole.

If the person hit the green with the shot, Tebow was going to throw them into the water.

Well, TikTok user Jaden Barr did that and the former Heisman Trophy winner fulfilled his promise, grabbing Barr and jumping into the water near the tee box with him. It’s all caught on video posted to TikTok that’s gotten 1.7 million views to date so far.

“That time I got baptized by Tebow,” reads Barr’s captioned post on the social media site.

Barr played college football at Truman State, a Division II school in Missouri.
