Thomas Rhett is adding another girl to his family -- and it's safe to say he was hoping for a boy!
The country singer and his wife, Lauren Akins, had a gender reveal party and shared a video on Tuesday showing their initial shock.
Rhett's first reaction is a little concerning, until he clears it up later.
The "Look What God Gave Her" singing sensation and his family -- which is made up of his wife and two little girls -- stepped out on the grass with their powder cannons in hand.
Holding his eyes tightly shut and only opening them to see the pink smoke fall from the sky, Rhett hung his head in defeat as someone asked "who's gonna carry on the family name" in the crowd.
Clearly, he was hoping a boy would round out their family of 5.
Taking to Instagram, Rhett addressed his feelings head on.
"Excited to share that I will now be paying for 3 weddings," he wrote. "I feel so blessed to say that our third child is on the way and it’s a girl!!"
Adding that his daughters -- Willa Gray, 3, and Ada James, 1 -- "are gonna be the best big sisters," he encourages their newest addition to "bring on the crazy!"
Lauren was quite excited to add another daughter to the mix. Sharing several adorable photos, including this bikini pic with her two kids kissing her belly.
"Despite Thomas Rhett’s initial shock (swipe to see video) we are absolutely over the moon for our baby girl!" she wrote.
Turning the focus on their daughters, she says, "Our girls cannot wait to meet their little sister. Willa Gray prays for her every night (heart in a puddle every time) & she and Ada James love to touch my belly and talk to her."
Rhett and Lauren were childhood friends and got married back in 2012.
In early 2017, the couple announced they were expecting their first child and in the process of adopting a baby from Africa.
