Watch the Worst Movies of 2014 Review Themselves

While film critics get a special kind of joy from eviscerating movies that are a special kind of awful, we’ve discovered another fun way to approach the worst of the worst: By letting the movies review themselves, and looking for that one line of dialogue (or that one pained on-screen expression) that inadvertently — but ever so gloriously — encapsulates what makes these movies so bad in the first place.

In this exclusive Yahoo Movies video, above, we compiled some of the most self-indicting movie moments of 2014, such as when one of the characters from Into the Storm simply volunteers “It sucked,” or a when a dude from Need for Speed warns, “You don’t want to have anything to do with that piece of s—t” (in both cases, they were right!). Even more fun is when the actors themselves seem to be offering a knowing bit of self-analysis, as when Dwayne Johnson says “I get paid either way” in Hercules, or Seth MacFarlane admits he’s the main problem with A Million Ways to Die in the West.

Watch them all in our mashup above. And thank you, screenwriters, for these happy accidents.
