Watch the Avengers Get Goofy in New 'Age of Ultron' Featurette

What could be more fun than watching the Avengers save the world? How about watching them crack each other up on set? This enjoyable new featurette for Avengers: Age of Ultron focuses on the real-life camaraderie between cast members Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk). While there’s little in the way of new film footage, the video contains some great outtakes of the actors goofing around. Most of the behind-the-scenes stuff appears to have been shot in Tony Stark’s apartment, possibly during the scene where the Avengers take turns trying to lift Thor’s hammer.

In contrast to the very dark first trailers for Age of Ultron, this featurette (along with the recent Black Widow-focused TV spot) draw attention to the lighter side of the Avengers. Evans describes the experience of working on the films as “like summer camp.” Renner reveals that the characters in the sequel spend more time together than they did in the first movie — which was a blessing and a curse for director Joss Whedon. “It’s tough to wrangle 10 crazy actors that love each other,” Renner explains. “There’s a real sense of unity,” adds Downey. “This movie is incredibly fun and thoughtful.” See? It’s not all creepy children’s songs and scary robots! Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters on May 1.
