Will Smith is hard at work training to transform his body. The Fitbit pitchman started the wellness project back in May, and he's kept fans updated via social media, going so far as to share things like how he can make time to walk 10,000 steps in a day just to prove a point about his level of commitment. But if his most recent Instagram post is any proof, Smith has hit his stride and is building up to top form.

Smith just shared a video of himself and producer Dexton Deboree pumping through a round of pushup reps. The 53-year-old actor isn't just documenting his fitness journey for the 'Gram, after all. He's been working on an upcoming YouTube series Best Shape of My Life, which will provide some more context to his larger project of getting into his top physical condition.

Still, the actor leaned into the comedic side of his persona with a self-deprecating caption to the post, writing "You can’t tell but I’m leaning on my knees." Along with the pithy quip, he used the hashtag #bestshapeofmylife, which is not only the name of the upcoming series, but looks to be close to the case for his physique in reality. While the video doesn't give much away, Smith's arms look closer to toned than flabby, and he doesn't seem to have any issues nailing the any of the pushup reps throughout the clip.

Want to crush your own set of pushups for a solid bodyweight workout? Make sure to keep your form solid by engaging your glutes and core throughout the movement. Your spine should be straight, with your butt low. The one point where Smith's form is a bit dodgy is in the angle of his elbows. Rather than flaring them out, keep them at a 45 degree angle relative to your torso. Check out this guide for more tips on how to master the move.
